Oh, what a great place to visit. My favorite. RV park and kayaking on the nehalem river.

I was there in February, and it was very quiet. The tidal flats just south of the boat launch are FULL of purple varnish clams. Seriously, we dug for clams at a POSITIVE 2.5 foot low tide and we could have gotten our full limit if we hadn't gotten so cold first. We'll definitely be back.

My wife and I stopped by here for a look during our drive down the coast from Newport. One of the fishermen showed us a 20 odd pound Chinook Salmon he had just caught while fishing from his boat earlier. It's all beautiful scenery.
