Food was ok, but nothing stellar for pizza, cheesy bread, or chicken strips. The service was what really seemed good... for me. You can call in and place an order for a time starting at 2-3, and the food was fresh and right out of the oven when we came to pick it up. They were super nice and friendly as well.read more

Really weird hours for a pizza place. And they stop taking orders very early, so I recommend calling ahead if you want... pizza for dinner. They start taking call ahead orders at 2, but they don't open until 3. Take out only.read more

Great pizza, my only comment would be for those not knowing the hours of operation are limited. I would suggest... checking their hours so you don’t go there like we did craving pizza after a day of sightseeing only to find they were closed. Cost us $60 for 4 of us. Each of us getting are own personal pie. 4 stars only because of limited hours.read more

The pizza here is excellent! We particularly enjoyed the crusts. Not greasy or soggy. We got the Tsunami and Chicken... Ranch pizzas. We also got the gluten free Hawaiian pizza.We took the advice on the website and made sure to order in advance. When we picked up our food around 5pm the next earliest pickup time was 6:15.read more

My family and I have been coming here for years, and really enjoy the pizza and hearth bread. Was a little... disappointed, though, with a mixup on the bread. I ordered the traditional over the phone, but was given the seasoned because that was what was written down by the order taker. I explained that I ordered the traditional though, and asked if I could exchange it for the one I ordered. I wasn’t able to exchange it, so just purchased an order of the one I wanted.read more

We were in Rockaway for just a few days in mid-October, but made sure we got pizza from this highly recommended... restaurant. We ordered 2 mediums: one build-your-own and one taco pizza. The taco pizza was BY FAR the best taco-style pizza we have ever had. We were happy to have leftovers fir lunch and dinner the next day. Excellent service, great people, wonderful food.read more

Very delicious! I got the Pesto Chicken Za’which. It came with a side of chips. Not bad 👌🏽 The owner... was extremely kind and friendly! UPDATE! Came back by on our last day here. So glad we did. We tried the savory handpies. AMAZING! Of course we also... left with another sand dollar raspberry hand pie and a cheese danish. @@@ No trip to anywhere is complete unless you try a local bakery. We are so glad we stopped in here. Let me tell you what I know about a good bakery. If you wait until 1pm to go in the selection will be limited. We grabbed 2 peanut butter cookies, 2 lemon handpies, 1 raspberry handpie, 1 chocolate handpie, and a blackberry scone. The peanut butter cookie was soft and flavorful. Not hard and crunchy. The lemon handpie was phenomenal. The crust was perfectly thin, buttery and had a slight crispness to it. The lemon filling had that tart lemon flavor with a touch of sweet. My daughter loved the chocolate handpie. The rest will wait until later. Certainly put this place in your list.read more

Stopped in here while on a weekend trip on the coast. Something about the place begged for us to pull over and it was... well worth it. One of the better meat lovers pizzas I've had and the service was fast and friendly. Would recommend for anyone in the area.Edit: came back over a year later and the food is somehow even better. We ordered from Upper Crust while staying in Rockaway Beach. The service was very friendly and the pizza was delicious.... We ordered the Four Pepper and the cheese and everything was fresh and hot at the expected pickup time. The staff were masked and the pickup window is outside so very easy to navigate during pandemic times.read more

Lived in the area my whole life. They are always closed, or not taking orders. The big thing is how they treat poor... reviews because of their own short comings. They pick and choose who they serve or serve well when at all. They think they don’t stink being the only pizza place in the few towns there. Go to Bar View market, it’s take in bake but just as good if not better then here. Starting with being nice, open, clear about hours, and respond positively to unhappy customers. Not the, move it along then attitude these jack holes always have.read more

Can't be bothered to be open and taking orders up to closing. Who closes over an hour before the set hours for closing?... The answer is Upper Crust. If you close at 7pm, you should still be taking orders up to that point, that's how businesses stay in business, not by turning people away. I haven't had your pizza. I no longer plan to have your pizza. I don't do business with a business that can't even keep honest hours, and trust them to make decent food. I'm glad you we're not answering your phone on a mid November Saturday at 5:30pm, nor open when we drove by moments later hoping to order in person, because we ended up getting an amazing meal at the sand dollar instead. They were answering the phone and open during the hours promised plus the food was worth the money and delicious. That's how good businesses stay alive, well and making "dough".read more

We made a reservation through hotels.com at their "sister" hotel surfside at $90ish a night. Arrived to be told we... were at silversands, which now showed on hotels.com at $150 a night. There's zero sound proofing. Kids ran around till after midnight above us night one, partiers up all night day 2. No coffee provided. Was pretty clean, just not under the bed. Door to the beach had a sketchy, difficult lock. One bed was super hard, the other super soft. The mini stove top is touch screen, so I locked the controls as we had a child with us. Not worth $150 a night by any means, but in a tourist town they can charge that and more.read more

RUDE RUDE RUDE bartender. This woman ignored us as she kept talking to her “locals”. Once we got our drinks we realized... they were wrong (after one sip) and she refused to remake our order claiming “that is what you asked for and you drank from the glass”. I answered “How was I to know it was wrong without tasting it” to which she just shrugged her shoulders. We left our drinks on the spot without paying. Do not recommend if you are not her “locals”. I hope the new owners address her poor customer service.read more

Upper crust has an amazing selection of pizza. We were staying over night in Rockaway and they seemed like a good... option. They were continually busy as we watched all the cars come and go for their building.Once we got the pizze the first thing I noticed was how nicely put together it was. The second was the crust. It was a beautiful golden crust and even cooked to perfection underneath. The chicken on it was tender and juicy and it was one of the better pizzas I have had.Would definitely recommend if you are either staying in Rockaway or just passing by.read more

My husband and I are passionate about the beach, and pizza. We decided to get married on the beach a couple of months... ago and it was perfect that Upper Crust was just down the street from the beach house rental AND that they had amazing pizza AND had delicious gluten free options for our 3 GF freinds/ family. We had our reception at Upper Crust and the owner was incredibly accommodating letting us decorate the morning of and even ordering our favorite wine through her vendor. Highly recommend, will be visiting every year when we return for our anniversaries. Much love!read more
