Kelly’s 2022 is getting back on track! Even had music playing late one afternoon like they used to! Office staff member(female) was a bit grumpy on occasion & overcharged us by an hour, but rectified error and gave us credit. Dock service was exceptional with all staff helpful, friendly & alert! Really enjoy this place and hope it continues to move back into the fun & festive atmosphere that I found here so many years ago! Btw, we caught 52 crabs in 3 days! No too shabby! Thanks Kelley’s!

This place was so much fun!! We are tourists and know absolutely nothing about crabbing. The staff took a good amount of time to explain everything and answered all our questions. We definitely will try the raw chicken approach for the bait next time as the crabs seemed to enjoy that more than the raw fish option. The people were awesome and we had just the best time doing something new and exciting!

I have been wanting to stop by this place and check it out for future lodging. Did not disappoint. Loved the atmosphere. Took the boat ferry to the other side of the bay and had the entire beach to ourselves! So peaceful walking around and only hear the sound of my bare feet in the sand while the ocean water lapped along the shore. Pelicans and loons scattered the shoreline. Seeing the makeshift shelters artistic people had made from the driftwood that populated the sand dunes. We were told to call or “stand between the two sticks and wave”For a ride back. So we chose the sticks and sure enough the man came to pick us up. 😂 Planning on a trip back before the end of September.

We recently spent the weekend camping and crabbing at Kelly's Brighton Marina. All of the staff that we dealt with were super friendly and helpful. We rented a boat to go out crabbing and the crew was quick getting us out on the water, very explanatory with how to run their motors. The bathrooms up by the store were clean and stocked. The cooking crew was great, quick and efficient. They cooked up the crab we caught and we also ordered oysters and clams that were delicious. My only complaint was the port-a-potties got super gross as the weekend went by but that was to be expected with how full the campground happened to be while we were there. We will definitely be planning another trip to stay at Kelly's Brighton Marina.

My wife, four kids, and myself had such an awesome time at Kelly's Marina today. They have such a great setup, and wonderful staff who all treated us like friends and family. We were planning to rent a boat to go crabbing but the lady at the counter suggested it might be a little crowded with our group of 6, and we might have a better time working off the dock. We spent less than half on that option, but she was right. We had so much fun running from one trap to another checking for crabs we could keep! It's a great activity that adults and kids of all ages can enjoy, and the staff did a great job teaching us how to do it. They cooked the crabs we caught and taught us how to clean and shell them to make them super tasty. This will be a regular stop for us on future trips to Oregon.

FUN. This stop was one of my favorite during our vacation in Oregon. It was so simple and so enjoyable I will return. We were literally crabbing within 20 minutes of parking the car - we entered the store and Colin and Shirlee were gracious and patient as they explained the how to catch crabs. We bought our licenses, picked up our baited pots and within 30 minutes were hauling crab in on the dock. So enjoyable. We crabbed for 2 hours and likely caught between 75 and 100 crabs. We kept 3 which we took back to shore where the team confirmed they were legal catches, and within 20 minutes they were steamed. The store sells a variety of beverages including beer and hard seltzer, butter and a variety of other optional gear for crabbing or oysters. We bought butter and drinks. Kelly's provides crackers, napkins, knives and forks. The lunch was awesome - enjoying the catch from earlier that morning.Again, Very Fun, Affordable and Professional. Highly recommended!

I had originally came to this awesome place back in July of 2016. LOVED it then.. have followed the location closely as the new owners took over.: let me just say.. it was awesome before and it’s perfect now!! I returned with my family today and we just did some dock crabbing (I have a 5 week old newborn so the boat was out of the question) and we caught a monster!! The staff is so kind and helpful at every step. The location is clean and organized. We are in town another week and we intend to go back at least one more time. I cannot say enough positive things about this spot and their staff!!!

My wife and I stayed at the campground in our RV. We rented a boat and went crabbing for our first time. We had a blast. Only got 2 keepers but it was fun. They cooked the crab for us and they were the best crab we've ever eaten. Great trip.

Fantastic place for family fun... my wife loves crabbing here. The people who run this place are awesome. I want to thank Shirley for helping me find a site for my RV. She was awesome and went out of her way to make sure we had a nice camp site. I can only give this place 4 stars for now, but a couple of improvements would make it a 5 star place. If you are an RV'er, there's NO DUMP station here. Also, please PAVE the road to the upper loop camp sites. It's full of holes and ruts.

We go every year for our annual reunion and love it. Allot has changed as to where you could grab a picnic table and spend the day crabbing, cooking out etc and this year all those places have turned into camping spots so a little tougher this year. Not sure yet. We will see how it goes.

Was blown away with how unique of an experience this was. We got an amazing tent site on the water, fresh seafood, and tasty beer. Their store was filled with cool merchandise, snacks, and alcohol. They also have a fun common area with a big fire pit with home-made chairs. If you are on the coast on oregon. Give this place a shot.

My first time tent camping in coastal Oregon and Kelly's did not disappoint! The staff is very friendly and knowledgeable about the crabbing process and didn't mind all the questions we asked. We took a boat out and caught our own crab, which the staff then cooked up for us. Add in some oysters and clams and it's a seafood lovers paradise. The coin operated showers were clean and a nice welcome. We'll definitely be back!!

My wife and I have stayed here multiple times over the past 8 years. However the new owners don’t care about the customer as the prior owners. Having to cancel our first day of our reservation due to emergency surgery in Idaho we were met with the vague cancellation policy. We called the required 48 hours prior to our check in time and was forced to speak to incompetent and untrained staff multiple times. Was then told to call back on the day we are supposed to check in and talk to Brian as he is off until then. Speaking to Brian was not only a waste of time but he was rude in not understanding our exception. Not budging and we lost the complete amount we paid for. We pleaded our case and that in the interest of customer service and being loyal customers…they stuck with the policy. A policy that is vague as to when the 48 hours begins. After finding the new owners contact info and speaking to him he was not willing to budge either. Never going back.

Very impressed with this place. It was much more than I expected. We stopped to get a crab. The service was quick, friendly and very helpful. They explained the process and showed us how to clean the crab after it was cooked. There were benches to eat. There was a fire pit and a little store.

We ate here on a recommendation from our VRBO host.We wanted to have some fresh cooked crab, while vacationing in Rockaway. Kelly's did not disappoint.Fun atmosphere with great views. We ordered our crab, they weighed it out, and immediately put it in the steamers. When it was done, they called our name and even showed us how to clean the cooked crab (ask if you can try the crab heart, tastes like chicken). Sat down at one of the large tables and enjoyed some of the best tasting and freshest crab you could get.

The new owners are very friendly and easy to work with. The new store looks great, it is so big compared to the old one and you can walk around really easy in it. The campsites are clean and there's plenty of parking. No need to walk across the highway to get to it. We look forward to return again and again.

The crabs were very fresh and tasty, better than the crabs I had in Newport. The staff were very friendly. This place is a hidden gem, being an hour away from Cannon Beach. On your way from Cannon Beach to Tillamook, make sure to stop here!Update on May 27, 2022. My wife and I came to this place for the second time. The clams and oysters were tasty, but the crabs were tasteless. We would appreciate if the quality of crabs are consistently good.

If it weren't for the fact that I had a waterfront campsite and the view was beautiful, I would leave a 1 star review. It's a privately owned campground, which is absolutely fine however, that means they can make their own rules. It is pretty pricey for what it is worth, the people running it are pretty clueless and rude. The so called "manager" went out of his way to ignore me and my husband. The guy running the counter had no idea what was going on. They also have a about 5-6 Cats running around the marina which at no point is mentioned anywhere and those cats like to scratch at tents with their claws. Also, don't plan on taking a shower there unless you have quarters with you. Apparently paying to stay there does not include using their showers. You have to pay for that separately.

➡ This place is quite the experience! If you love crab and the water you have to come here! Here's my full breakdown:😷 HEALTH AND SAFETY: Masks are wore by no one so don't come here if you are expecting this to be a more Covid safe place. Also vaccines are not checked. That being said masks are not required by state and this is also an outdoor place. 1/5🤗 KINDNESS: The staff were very nice to us and made sure the crab they collected for us was good. There is really nothing else to be said! 5/5🎢 EXPERIENCE: This is quite the experience. You can rent one of their boats and get your own crab, crab of the dock, or just let them get one from the back. I chose to just let them pick a live crab and cook it up. You can watch them cook it. But if you want the full experience you should probably crab for your own crab. 4/5🍽️ FOOD: You should only come here if you LOVE seafood and crab. Otherwise there is no point in driving here. The crab was delicious. Other people in my party said it was the best crab they have ever tasted. I don't think they add any seasonings but it is still delicious. 4/5💰 PRICE: The crab was about $40. I don't know if that is very expensive because I don't usually buy a whole crab. I think you also have to buy the butter which seems a bit over the top. 3/5

We were so lucky to have gotten their last RV spot for the night in September without reservation. This place is very unique. A marina with much activities going on. Courteous and friendly staff that made our stay complete. We got some freshly cooked oysters for dinner and they were wonderful! Will definitely come back if we have a chance to travel this way again. Oh, and the sunset was incredible!

It was quite the experience! You definitely don't wanna come if you're looking to make a profit from the crabs you catch, as we only caught one legal. But just going out (it was our first time crabbing) and having fun, it was awesome. I'd recommend coming here!

This place was awesome. We rented 3 boats, 3 traps per boat already baited and ready. Its a blast. Very well organized. We had so much we came back 2 days later. Great firepits for warming up after a 3 hours on the water. I recommend 3 hrs if you are crabbing with adults. 2 is not enough. Lots of snacks for sale there, tons of beer and good parking/bathrooms. You can even camp there and wake up and smell a little crabby! Super fun. 3 to a boat works but 2 is faster.

Our family of five loved every minute of crabbing at Kelly's marina. We had some kids that were nervous about a boat, so we just stayed at the dock and had a great time visiting with other guests, playing with the kittens, warming ourselves by the fire, and catching some crabs. I think those in the boat were more successful with how many they caught, but we didn't mind. The experience was worth it and our girls didn't want to leave, even though we were under dressed for the weather. I would suggest dressing as warm as possible for maximum enjoyment. Highly recommend!

This is such a fun experience! We drove from about an hour away based on the recommendation from a friend. It did not disappoint! The staff were super friendly and happy to teach us newbies how to catch and clean the crab. Bonus, they even cook it there as part of the experience! The staff was great with my kids, keeping them engaged . We really had a good time!Tips we were told and found helpful: plan to be there 2-3 hrs before high tide, bring some chicken drumsticks, go on a weekday if possible.

This place was incredible! In about one hour were able to catch a bucket full of crab for feast! The kids had such an awesome experience call of the instructions on how to do everything was great. The boat we rented was perfect, without food that we needed. We have no idea what we’re doing, so all the explanations were so greatly appreciated. Staff is so friendly!

A tad expensive but so worth the experience! Bring a chair, rent a crab ring (or bring your own), grab the smelly crab bait and enjoy the fresh ocean beauty! You sit on their dock & they help you get going on catching your own crab. Fun for the whole family. They even cook your crab. Nice people all around. We only got one keeper but got a bucket full of great memories. You can rent one of their boats and go out in the bay and toss your rings. People were catching way more from the boat than from the dock.

My goal was to give the kids a unique experience and going crabbing at Kelly's for a couple hours was perfect. They do rent out boats, but we chose to stay on the pier. For $15 they rig up a crabbing ring and the kids threw the ring off the dock and waited in anticipation. I'm not sure anyone on the dock had much luck that day, other than hauling in a few females, but it was still a great way to spend the day. As part of your $15, they also cook and clean your catch. Delicious! We met the personable new owner and he seemed to be a great guy. We wish him much success.

One of the great hidden gems camp site.We were very last minute but they do allow first come first serve. Super easy check in and check out. Kind of catch. We had just perfect view to the lake.Cherry on the top: they do some charging spots, restaurants, fire wood and store in case you need. It was one of our first and best camping at RV resort.Highly recommend to stay, and their staff is nothing but helpful. You will need to pay some minimal amount for shower which was ok for us, since i think its a great way to save water as people will use it judiciously.

Came today and spent 5 hours, unfortunately we were unable to get any keepers. There a few things, the facilities and setup were nice, dock, cooking and desk staff were pretty friendly for the most part. The only bummer was that after 5 hours and close to $100 we ended up spending almost that to have them cook crabs so we could have them for dinner.I wish I had just bought the crabs to begin with honestly.I probably won't go back although I recommend checking it out if you haven't been or need a camping spot (not sure on prices). Beautiful views, oh did I mention kittens.

This place was great! Seems like a fantastic place to take the family for a day trip.Every person who worked there was super friendly and personable. From renting the hoops, whoever was at the counter was fun and cracking jokes, to getting down on the docks and getting to see the dock master holding a seagull showcasing the he was knowledgeable enough to know it was an adolescent gull based on its size; which was just adorable to see.At one point while waiting for the crab to cook someone who worked there offered to have me hold one of the kittens they have about the place which made my whole day. When the crab was done cooking they served it up with crab butter (I guess fat from the crab and butter mixed and served in its shell) and we ate next to the fire pit. And they'll give you the crab heart speared up which just makes you feel so viscous! haha.Seriously, one of the best days I've had in a long time and while it would have been great even without all the effort they seem to put in to making it a fun experience; it really made the difference. I'm still gushing about it hours later and I'll be telling anyone/everyone I can about how great this was and taking any friends and family I can back here.

Awesome, friendly, and helpful staff. Prices very reasonable for boat rental and crabbing. amazing views and great location. staff will even cook your catch for you. This place is pretty cool. We did some dockside crabbing and enjoyed some fresh steamer clams. The kids had a lot of fun, next time I think we'll rent a boat for crabbing. They don't allow dogs on the dock, but ours was welcome in the patio dining area.

My family and I enjoy going out to Kelly's for boat rental and crabbing in the bay. This memorial day, it was our fourth time out crabbing on the bay and overall it was fun. We took lots of pictures, walked on the sandy beach, had loads of fun crabbing for the keepers. Even though, we happen to experience another family picking up our traps. Here is what happened, we set out our traps and decided to go onto the sandy beach for a few minutes...while doing so we noticed another family pulling out our traps and taking our catch just before heading off to the docks. I attached some of the screenshots from a video that I took of them taking my buoy's out. We understand you may get confused once but twice that's a different story. What was especially fishy was how they left right after taking the catch. I would have never thought that there was poaching going on here so I wanted to come on here to warn everyone who will be going on the bay to crab. Don't take your eyes off of your bouey's! Because if you do you might just experience the same thing that my family and I did.JUST BE AWARE OF THE CRAB POACHERS!!

This place is magical. It's a great family-friendly environment and my daughter kept telling me how much she loved the visit. She was so excited to catch baby crabs, handle the full-sized ones and the tiny sea eels and that was a huge change for her. Who needs electronics when the kids will interact with nature at a place like this?

Best crabbing spot @Rockaway.. Friendly staff, great setup, and ample room once the crowds kick in during the peak. We took a boat out, lots caught but not the keeper size. Irrespective our 10 year old had a ton of fun. 2 hours seems about the right time, do check how gusty it is. We had a relatively calm day.

This place is absolutely wonderful! The staff was friendly and the suite was huge. Much cleaner than some of the 4 star hotels i have stayed in recently. This place is fantastic! Reasonably priced for sure and fun for the whole family! If you plan on crabbing off the dock bring chairs.. but we had such a good time! Great experience. They were very patient with a large group of novices and if they laughed at us (rightfully so), they at least did it from shore so we couldn't hear it. I've never driven a boat but their instructions were simple and clear so I got the hang of it quickly, at least enough not to run aground. Best part was their instruction that we shouldn't need to shut off the boat but if we do, push the red button then restart it like a lawn mower. I probably needed to shut it off 6-7 times as my steering would not win any awards, so I was grateful for the info. We went really early in the season so although we only caught one crab we could keep between 4 boats, we had a great time hauling up the pots full of small crabs, naming them, then tossing them back, usually away from the opportunistic seagulls. Cheering for your pot puller really helps with catching crabs as well as scaring other boats away from your prime crabbing waters. And all the noise garners interest from seals who were probably wondering what the crazy humans are doing. A great way to spend a few hours and well worth the sore muscles.

We tried to decide whether paying for prepared crab or catching ourselves was a better option. Was urged and assured by staff that catching our own was the better option. They didn’t tell us nobody was catching anything all day so $30 later we had no crab. Felt scammed. Also the obese dog is super cute but she is clearly struggling w arthritis and other issues and should be put on a diet :( The long-haired guy working the dock was super nice.

It was our first time on a boat and crabbing. So one of the stuff member went with us and explained everything in details. It was very kind of them.Boat rent is $110 for 2 hours (and it’s absolutely worth it!) and they cook the crabs you catch.Crabs were delicious and customer service on the highest level. Kelly even helped us himself, very nice man.We catch 3 crabs, and it was awesome!!! Thanks for this opportunity.

Such a fun experience! But not for the faint of heart... it's adventurous, gross, stretching and beautiful all at once. They give you a little training and turn you loose with a boat and some crab pots. We caught tons, then they cook it up for you. More crab than we could eat. Highly recommend if you're adventurous!

Access is right off hwy. Grab your tent, r.v. or sleep in the car and crab all day! Rent a ring, which comes with bait, throw it off the dock, or rent a boat. Crabbing is always fun but when we can catch crab that are actually big enough to eat, double bonus! And this is the place! Plus, they'll cook them for you!! We barely had to shop the whole 3 days...we just ate crab and were happily satisfied :-)

Place to go where you can rent a small fishing boat, they allow up to 6 adults on board. We had 3 adults and 1 big kid plus a baby and two smaller kids but they said only 6. They did eventually accommodate. Boat rental $110 first two hours, $25 after. You can only take it out into the small cove. They stock boat with three pre baited crab nets. What you catch they will clean and cook for you if you like. When we went we were not catching anything keepable, too many boats in one spot. Overall kids had a fun time dropping the nets. Tennis shoes recommended (ones you can get wet), boat has metal floor- no carpeting. Slipped around several times cane away with sore muscles.

Fine little spot. Tent sites are not shaded but are right by the water. RV spots are in the prime location but it's more of a parking area than a campground. Crab, clams and oysters at fair prices. If you are just stopping by, park by the road before you cross the train tracks. The driveway can be busy. They also offer shuttles across the bay to Nehalem Bay State Park if you are hiking the Oregon Coast Trail.

Went to visit friends who were camping here. Beautiful view and relaxing area. Very nice. My friends said they sell freshly caught crab and clams there as well.

We spent $67 on crab rings. We measured every crab we caught and ended up with our bucket 3/4 full. The lady who went to measure our crabs said that none of them met the requirements despite us getting measuring all of them before hand. I went to buy something in the shop afterward and I heard the same lady tell a customer what she did to my family laughing .The one star is for the nice boys who helped us set up our bait.

I've been meaning to leave a review all year but the week we got home from our honeymoon, the pandemic started. We visited here on Feb. 26, 2020. But I literally think about this place like everyday, 10/10 favorite stop on our honeymoon adventure. It was such a magical experience indulging in fresh oysters and clams by the fireside with a nice cold beer. All while overlooking the bay. I absolutely loved all the marina kitties running around too. This sweet one was all over us and it made us miss our own critters. The staff was super friendly, helpful and answered my newbie questions without judgement (this was my first oyster experience and I fell in love at first bite lol). We took a crab home to cook, which turned out heavenly. With the help of my husband and I both being pro chefs. I could keep going and going. We are 100% coming back someday. ??

This place was great- from the experience to the service to the atmosphere. The employees were wonderful and taught us exactly how to crab, and the owner even taught us how to eat the crab since we are from Utah and have only eaten pre prepared crab before. The staff was friendly and helpful and I would definitely go again.

Love this place!! Friendly staff and good vibe. Order fresh crab or rent a boat and catch them yourself. Little shop is fully stocked with wine, beer and snacks to enjoy on the water or with your crab. We opted to just rent a boat for an hour and ride around. When we got back, we ordered fresh cooked and cleaned crab and sat on a colorful table, enjoyed the sun and beautiful view of the marina.

Very awesome experience! We caught just enough keepers for everyone to have a good time and get some nibbles. The guys got us out on the water quickly even with a big group. Would definitely recommend.

So much fun! Was my first time on the Oregon coast and crabbing. We had 3 good crabs that they cooked and cleaned for us, nothing like fresh crab right on the shore. Definitely will be coming back!

My boyfriend and I stopped to check out Kelly’s on the way to Seaside for Labor Day Weekend a couple of years ago, and ended up tent camping there on the way home! We had the best time, caught a bunch of yummy crab, and met great people around the fire pit. When my boyfriend woke up in the morning to get coffee, he brought back 2 kittens who hung out in our tent! We are planning on going back this Friday, June 20th for a couple nights, and we are SO EXCITED! See you soon, Kelly and friends!

Kelly’s place is awesome, everything a person Wants to see at a marina! Crabs, oysters and clams all right out of the ocean. Talk about service, Wilson got us crab bait and fixed us up with what we needed for our ocean adventure!! Don’t miss this cool family owned outfit if you make it to Oregon coast.

This place is something special. I love how you can decide your own level of involvement. Rent a fresh baited trap and toss it off the dock with the kids or launch your own boat. Nothing is intimidating here. The friendly staff was patient and accomidating with my multiple, newbie questions. These are some of the hardest working employees I've ever seen. The store has a wide array of beers to pair with the seafood. 17 campsites have water front views and water/electric hookups. No dump here. Head to Bar View Jetty park outside Garibaldi to dump for 10 bucks. Sunsets can't be beat! We had a small, water issue (our fault) with our campsite and the man in the crab hat (Kelly, the owner) was on it in minutes. His cheerful mood was really refreshing! Don't hesitate to come here, this place takes your enjoyment seriously.

Best time we had in OR! We stopped and expected to stay an hour or so, but had so much fun crabbing and hanging out we stayed all day! We got 2 HUGE crab and a few more keepers. Met the great Philipino Phil and got some amazing sauces. He fed us crab hearts speared with their own claws and crab butter- incidentally the best thing we ate on the trip too. We also bugged the crab out of Bryan (who could not be bugged), counted kittens, pet the sweet old Lily, explored and enjoyed. This place is great, stop and see.

We had the most amazing, unforgettable experience crabbing at Kelly’s Brighton Marina! We rented a boat, and crab pots from Kelly’s, and crabbed in the bay for three hours! We caught about 8 pounds of crab, and then the nicest employee gutted, and cooked our crab for us right there!!!! The overall cost was $150, and that included the THEEE HOURS of boat rental, gas, life vests, THREE crab pots with bait, and cleaning/gutting/cooking the crab! Worth EVERY PENNY!! Such a great deal, and the coolest experience! One we won’t forget! The kid from Montana that cooked our crab was a gem to talk to, and the nicest employee also! Kelly the owner was also super kind, informative, and answered all our questions!

My Joe buddy works here which makes it better but to go visit but they have camping, RV parking/camping, boats to rent to go fishing or crabbing, crabbing from the dock and they can cook the crab you catch for you right there. Enjoy a coffee, tea, hot chocolate, soda, beer, and snacks you can purchase in the marina store, and most of all the crab you catch, around a warm fire outdoors without camping there. “ in my opinion the best part, that’s the main reason a lot of people go to the beach to enjoy a fire and the ocean air.” They sell crab, oysters and few other kinds of seafood. Plus they have Kelly almost always wearing a crazy crab hat. Great staff working the place. Enjoyment and fun for pretty much anyone.

Such a fun experience and amazing staff to help us first timers catch crab! Four stars instead of five only because it looks kind of kitschy and rundown when you first get there. But the whole time was fun for our 2 families and 4 teens who “didn’t want to go” and then had such a good time that they want to go again. Also, they have fresh oysters and clams you can buy and cook the crab you catch right there or you can take it home. Great friendly place with a beautiful view. Can’t wait to go next summer!
