The rooms have a little bit of a do-it-yourself feel to them. Some parts needed a little bit of work. But for being a transformed hotel it's actually pretty cool. There's plenty of room and lots of beds. The decor was pretty weird, kind of a mix of Glam and modern design, not my favorite.
Proximity to the beach is hard to beat, however. Probably less than a minute to walk to the beach, and only a couple minutes to a handful of stores.

We rented room 210 through Vacasa and had a horrible experience:
The first night we got to the property the tube was running full blast non stop. We were able to get the water to slow down but not stop. We went to the beach, came back to learn the shower didn’t work and we had no hot water. We contacted Vacasa immediately and they said a local team was contacted.
We called Vacasa the next morning and they said the Maintainence team was contact. Around noon we had heard nothing. We called again, they said a local team was going to contact us. At 2pm, after being at the property 24 hours no one had contacted us and we had repeatedly called and text.
We called Vacasa again and asked for a refund. Vacasa said a local team would contact us within two hours.
About two hours later, the local team called and said they were aware of the issue with some facet. The local team said Vacasa had only contacted him an hour ago, 24 hours after we first contacted them…. The local team said they knew the facet was running, but didn’t know the shower didn’t work. The local team said to fix the shower they would have to turn the water off to the building and they weren’t going to do that until the end of the season. So they rented this property to us knowing it was broken.
We asked for a refund and the local team said they would approve it. We called Vacasa about the refund bd they said the local team had to approve it. It’s been five days and we still haven’t gotten a refund.
Do not stay at this property! Vacasa should remove this list immediately.

We used the full kitchen quite a bit. The rooms were pretty good. The bed my husband and I shared seemed to have us sink in the middle. So that wasn't fun. The bathroom could use some sprucing but it was fine. I could smell a hint of dog and even though my contact said no pets, there was a dog towel and I assume a carpet piece for a pet to sleep on. Lots of dogs in other rooms. I would like a room that dogs hadn't been in but I imagine with all the dogs we saw in Oregon, they seem to cater to pet owners.

First off we had reservations for 2 nites but our first impression was seeing the room walls and floors dirty. There were holes in the walls and the bathtub water spout was leaking. No one was on-site to help with issues or even to help you get into the room. It was self check in. After all this happened we decided to leave. What really put us over the edge was seeing a roach crawl down the wall. So after some phone calls I was able to get a full refund. Thank you lord!

Wow! Sounds like it was changed alot. There use to be a really friendly guy with a beautiful husky there, and we stayed there quite often. Rooms were cleaned and screens on sliding doors. No breakfast, but coffee in office. I was gna stay here next week. I'm glad I came to reviews... so sad.

This is NOT what I would consider a hotel. This building has many studios with self check in and no staff on hand. No breakfast as indicated in many reviews and photos online. There is a microwave, mini fridge and coffee maker in the room. No ice machine. This is run completely thru Vacasa. If you need anything, you must contact Vacasa guest services.
I stayed in room # 209. No fans or A/C in the room, so it was very hot and humid (especially after using the shower). There are no screen doors so leaving the slider open wasn't an option. Very loud noise kicking off and on above our unit, possibly the water pump. Hot water in shower was unreliable. The beds were very loud, paint job is pretty bad. I believe someone "remodeled" recently and switched up a lot of things but they didn't care about the quality of finish work. It was clean but the door jamb was busted. There aren't enough parking spaces for the number of units.
The only thing I loved about this experience was the location. Less than a block to beach access and a market about a block away. Rockaway Beach is great, but I'll choose other accommodations next time. After all the fees I paid $179 per night.

Pretty trashy. Terrible paint job. Old dilapidated. Dark. No plug inside. Missing fixtures. Fridge was so noisey the first night I couldn't sleep.parking is impossible. No amendment such as ice or good coffee. No way to contact property before arrival. No access to wifi.
Initial room rate is falsely advertised with a nearly 100% cleaning and service fee.

This is.. really NOT an antique store. only about 10% of the stuff in here was used/antique/etc. Mainly new, mass produced type items. False advertising. Disappointed we made time to go here but not to The Little Crow, because that place explicitly stated it had both "vintage and new" and we assumed this place was all used/second hand. We wanted to buy things second hand for sustainability purposes.
They did have a lot of very scented products. Like soap and lotion etc that seemed maybe local or small business made.
We did end up finding a few cute items we got here. An old tiny model/toy grocery cart (actually old), a tin shaped like an old style coca cola dispenser vending machine (seemingly an antique? It has rust), and a dried flower in a glass vial with a cork stopper (not antique, but relatively sustainable materials).
Shop keeper was not wearing a mask.

Do not ever stay there. 6 days no tv called management daily. Bed was to rickety we thought it was going to break. 6 days and no towel service. Thank god we had hung up our towels. We average 60 motel nights a year and this was the worst yet.

I, personally, wouldn't recommend coming back here.
This hotel can use a bit of remodelling. My room next to me, there was people playing beer pong at 1am...
The water in the shower never gets any hotter...
The TV remote was hard to fix and hard to get back on live TV.
My score overall: 15 out of 100%...
This place has some flaws... I also heard some haunted noises throughout my head on the first night.
Take my word. Don't come here unless it's open for remodel.

The room was clean, light, and airy. It lacked a place to sit on the otherwise nice balcony.
Close to the beach, but facing HWY 101. Great for watching the traffic go buy. Overall, very quiet and private.

It looks like the Tampa Bay Bucs old colors on the outside, but the inside is really nice

Very clean rooms, a block away from the beach. Steve(the caretaker we saw and talked to) was really helpful and accommodating. He really went out of his way to make it a great trip.

I give it 2 stars because it is only moments from the ocean and there's a grocery store close by.
Do NOT believe any of the photos! I was under the impression I would be in a "studio" separate from the hotel; not even the case! The fridge is a "college" fridge! Very disappointed ?
Supposed to be coming back to Rockaway in June...DEFINITELY NOT STAYING HERE!

This place is great for the cost. Definitely worth it! This is the 3rd room I’ve stayed in here through Vacasa.

We absolutely loved our stay here. We think this hotel is very under rated. Our room was very clean and the bed was comfortable. The views of the mountains were amazing - you have to wake up early to see the sunrise. There were bagels, muffins, danishes, eggs, bacon and more breakfast. Coffee, tea, and juice in the fridge. We would definitely stay here again. Our only suggestion is that they add screens to the windows, so we could have opened more windows without having to worry about bugs. 10/10 recommend.

Location and room was great but it was DIRTY not stains but dog hair EVERYWHERE IN ALL the linens we were lucky we took our throw blankets to sleep in and we have stayed in dog friendly places before but this one was bad it just felt like the person before us left with their dog and they used the same linens also there was no real clarity on the dumpster or wash station and the internet sucked. The place itself was nice and the price was good but will not be going back.

Thought I'd help amd strip the beds..big mistake, saw stains that were nasty, you cant cover it up with a sheet or pillow case. No screen on slider, power issues. Just needs more TLC.

Power constantly went out. Bed would slam against the wall in the slightest of movement. Shower knob was broken. Only reason why they get one star is for the staff that would show up every 2 hours to trip the breaker back. Refused to refund money. Place needs some serious electrical work. Breakers kept tripping. Everywhere else had power. Will never stay here again

The room was clean and remodeled with wifi and had a sliding glass door to open for fresh air. It was also very close to the beach, practically right out the door. Hard to beat these prices and the really wonderful manager. I will definitely come stay here again.

Not beachfront, but not beachfront prices! Might be 100 feet to the ocean, very short walk to restaurants and shops. Old school motel but they have clean rooms, comfy beds, and wifi. No AC, but heat works great on cold mornings.

I really love staying here. The beach is a stone's throw away and the staff are amazing! It's very affordable. Josh and Christa are an amazing management team!

my family and I drove to Oregon and it seemed most places were sold out, we got so lucky with this place. It was the same price as a motel but it felt like home. The woman at the front desk was so absolutely kind to us. We were literally a three-minute walk from the beach. Very clean and a full kitchen! Two bedrooms and I think we paid $150. Great value.

Great room with good bed, clean and well equipped. Good location to walk to beach and right on 101. Best price we found on beach in several miles. Friendly service. Book this place!
