Went here to get a drink and was refused service because I had my service dog with me. The blonde stated that only... seeing eye dogs were the only service dogs allowed in the establishment. Proceed to tell me that they were the only officially trained service dogs under the Americans with Disabilities Act. This establishment doesn’t care about other disabilities individuals have and/or the difference between Emotional support animals, companion animals. VERY upsetting.read more

Was in with my mother and brother and was completely ignored by the very rude female bartender. She messed up our... drinks and refused to remake them claiming “That’s what you ordered”. If you don’t know how to make a drink just say so and we can make a change to our order. Don’t blame us because all you can pour are shots and beer. Will never go back and neither should you. Too bad as there are not many choices left in Rockaway at this time.read more

The owner Anthony and the bartender Alexis, are AMAZING. You can tell Anthony has a true love for this place and what... he does and it shows in every aspect of the place. They are the kindest people I’ve run into in a while. Their food was amazing and their drinks were awesome as well. If you have the chance to come here, I would highly recommend! (21+)read more

I have a soft spot in my heart for small town, unpretentious drinking establishments where people are kind, the staff... works hard and local regulars hang out, and where you can get a drink, a hearty burger, perfect fries and a nice side salad. Rick's is that sort of place. Five stars.read more

Rick’s Roadhouse has re-opened! I was here a year ago and it’s greatly improved. Very clean - home town friendly -... one of the best burgers I ever had. Margaritas? Excellent. Don’t miss this dive bar. Only opened right now Tuesday - Saturday 3-10pm. Worth the stopread more

Great!!!!! Mushroom and Swiss burger with a side of yummy fries. The food was really good. I will be going back again.... The food was enjoyed by other patrons as well, as I had asked a couple sitting at one of the tables nearest to entrance. Fun place to watch 70, 80, and 90s music video while you eat and drink a beer or something a little stronger.read more

It was a nice little local watering hole. All locals, except yours truly. Not a single mask being worn in the place... except the bar tender and myself. They said no backpacks due to a gun being brought in one previously. But staff were very hospitable. Would definitely return again. Didn't try and food or drinks though. Just lottery.read more

We tried out Ricks Roadhouse on a weekday evening. Only one person waiting on all the customers, mixing the drinks and... cooking the meals. The food was tasty, the portions generous and the staff cheerful. She deserves double her wages for doing the work of two people.read more

Had a girls weekend here in Rockaway. We were drinking cocktails on the beach and missed most restaurants closing time.... Ended up at Rick's Roadhouse to have dinner (with a few more cocktails), and had such a fantastic time! The owners were the coolest, engaging people! Rocking out with everybody on a blow-up 🎸 was a definite highlight of our weekend!read more

We went for dinner around 8. The food was good. However, the waitress was rude and appeared completely inconvenienced... by our presence. She literally told us, "hurry up and order!" It was not that busy or maybe I could have understood. It took forever to get drinks, and our food. We will not be coming back due to the waitress being rude to us.read more

I’d post zero stars if I could...Walked in tonight as a first visit. I’ve lived in this town for a year and have never... been treated with more disrespect... sign on the door said masks are NOT required if eating or drinking and the only person that had a mask on was the bartender... and only half on at that... we were told to leave and could return with masks... we did that. Then when she ID’d us she said she couldn’t accept my friends OFFICIAL U.S. passport... Which he has used to purchase alcohol everywhere else in Rockaway beach. When we left the bartender rebutted with “LATER YO!” Which was directed at my Hispanic friend as if she didn’t even want to serve him because of his color. we are never returning and will never recommend you. I am also extremely disappointed as this was also supposed to be my friends first ever bar experience since he turned 21.... big fail guys... we planned on spending some good money at your location.read more

Just went here to get a drink with my husband. Walked in and was told to wear a mask. Nobody in the place had a mask on... except the bartender, AND there is a sign that says: masks aren't required, laughter is. Just be honest and say you don't want tourists. Have been to that bar many times. Won't ever go again.read more

Superb. First things first, this place will not be for everyone. No kids are allowed so it's adults only. Every now and... then, that's something to behold when you are traveling as two adults. We visited on a Thursday afternoon after arriving in town and walking around to find somewhere for a drink. It's the kind of bar that could be intimidating to some. Regulars sit at the bar and go about their day the way they always do. The regulars and staff can best be described as 'salt of the earth' that you find in many small towns around the world. Engage with them and you find they are full of charm and wit. Ignore them and of course, they will ignore you as you go about your business just as they do theirs. We chose to engage and drink a couple of beers at the bar. After a while (and after seeing some super food pas by) we decided to eat here and so glad we did. The French dip i tried is the best i've ever had......hands down! The place looks like a bit of a dive bar both inside and out. Don't be intimidated, go in and chat with the bar staff and locals...they don't bite and the experience will leave you better for it. Great place, wouldn't hesitate to return!read more
